Innofactor to deliver centralized data warehouse maintenance and further development for Aalto University

Innofactor was selected in a public procurement procedure to deliver centralized data warehouse maintenance and further development for Aalto University. The estimated value of the contract is EUR 568,490.

The delivery includes the deployment of Aalto University's centralized data warehouse services, maintenance, further development, and delivering system integration interfaces and their maintenance.

Aalto University uses the Microsoft SQL Server based centralized data warehouse for producing reporting information for the University itself as well as to external stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Education and Culture. The data warehouse can be used to easily generate reports based on source data from multiple applications or areas. Aalto`s data warehouse is a so called Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and it is based on the academic data XDW concept model. Delivery also includes improving data warehouse performance and automating the monitoring process in addition to providing data warehouse maintenance and further development.

The transaction strengthens Innofactor`s position as a major provider for Business Intelligence solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Business intelligence is one of Innofactor`s core competencies.

Aalto University, Finland, established in 2010, is a multidisciplinary science and art community in the fields of science, economics, and art and design. The University’s goal is to develop as a unique entity to become one of the world’s top universities by 2020. There are 20,000 basic degree and graduate students at Aalto University and its annual budget is EUR 400 million (2011).
