Innofactor Recognized as Finalist for 2016 Microsoft Public Sector: Health

ESPOO, Finland — May 31, 2016 — Innofactor today announced it has been named a finalist in the 2016 Microsoft Public Sector Health Award. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

”The recognition is very significant for Innofactor and gives us an opportunity to continue the well started cloud capturing project with Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) and deepens co-operation in the successful HUS Health Village project. This international recognition strengthens Innofactor’s position in delivering Microsoft Azure cloud services in Finland and as a provider for IoT and Machine Learning solutions in the healthcare and other industries,” said Sami Ensio, CEO, Innofactor.

Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,500 entrants from 119 countries worldwide. Innofactor was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in Public Sector: Innofactor Health Village - Reinvents Productivity in Healthcare in Azure.

HUS Health Village project is a virtual hospital entity, comprising portals offering information in format of news, stories and articles, self-help guides, self-evaluation surveys and quiz including gamification concept. HUS Health Village is open 24/7.

HUS Health Village offers information and advice, information and symptom evaluation, and self-care services. Multi-channel services can be used nation-wide and there are huge opportunities for personalized care with help of digital tools. Use of artificial intelligence, Big Data and Data Mining will improve significantly further development of digital health services.

Innofactor will further develop Health Village services in the coming years. The target is to provide reliable services to be used on daily bases for the citizens and different patient groups. Development work will be coordinated by HUS driven Virtual Hospital project during the years 2015–2018.
